Why Pasture Raised?

Why Pasture Raised?

There is a lot of talk these days about pasture raised chicken.  I’m sure you have wondered at some point whether you can tell the difference.  The answer is yes!

Pasture raised chicken is more than just a name.  The chickens are housed in coops that are moved daily to allow them access to their natural habitat but also keep them away from predators.  They are free to eat bugs, plants, and grass as they were intended to.

The houses are moved daily which is dual purpose: It gives the birds access to a fresh piece of pasture, and it allows the previous spot to regenerate.

Your typical grocery store chicken is also raised in houses, but they are usually much larger and overcrowded. Many of them to not have room to move around much less forage.

The results of pasture raised chicken are more nutrients and better flavor.  Pasture raised is statistically known for higher Omega 3, Vitamin D and E.
The high-quality feed that they are supplemented with can be tasted in the final product.  But don’t just take our word for it.  See what our customers are saying:

“Probably the best chicken I’ve ever eaten!!!”
“Highly recommend.  Delicious!”
“I can taste the difference.  The chicken breast and tenders are buttery soft.”
